Which one, when
Independent of Business Central, the trade-off is well known: Adobe offers control and complexity, Shopify offers speed and polish within firmer boundaries. Add BC and the scale tips further toward Shopify for most mid-sized companies — the official connector removes the single biggest risk in connector-based commerce, namely who fixes the integration when either side updates. Adobe remains defensible where requirements genuinely exceed Shopify's model: deep customization, complex B2B flows on the storefront side, or existing Adobe stack investments. But 'we might need the flexibility someday' is how BC companies end up funding integration projects they never needed.
